From your site to an editor, in five moves

Nothing to install and no admin screens to build.

  1. Connect

HUGways connects to your site's files and looks for what it knows how to edit.

  2. Learn the blocks

Every block describes itself: what it needs, what it allows and what it is called.

  3. Build the forms

Each option becomes a form field: a text box, a picture picker, a dropdown, repeating rows.

  4. Save safely

Changes are saved one page at a time, with every block kept in its place.

  5. Publish

The site rebuilds and goes live — fast and secure, with nothing to patch.

Try the editor

This form is built from the Hero block's options — the same idea HUGways applies to every block. Type, pick a style, choose a picture and watch the result. (A simulation: nothing here is stored, and the current HUGways CMS may look different.)

Try it on any block

Choose a block, pick one of its styles and see the real thing beside the form an editor would get. (A simulation: nothing here is stored, and the current HUGways CMS may look different.)

Pick a style and the block on the right changes. The other fields are shown as the editor presents them.

Page templates

New pages never start blank

Creating a page starts from a ready-made template, so an editor gets a sensible layout and placeholder copy to replace rather than an empty screen.

This site ships four, and each is checked automatically, so a client's first new page can never be the one that breaks the site.

  • Standard — a header and a run of text
  • Landing — hero, features and a closing call to action
  • Pricing — plans and an FAQ
  • Gallery — a masonry gallery under a header

Questions people ask

Does the editor need to know about my custom blocks?

No. It learns what each block offers by asking the block. Add a new block and the editor can use it straight away.

What happens if a client enters something invalid?

The editor enforces the same limits the site does — required fields, maximum lengths, allowed options — before anything is saved. The site checks them again when it builds.

Where do uploaded pictures go?

Into the media library. When the site rebuilds, each picture is resized and compressed and served from your own domain.

Can the editor and the site drift apart?

No. An automatic check fails if the editor's description of a block no longer matches the block, so a stale form can never ship.

Make your own block

A developer adds it in an afternoon; the editor can use it straight away.
