Three steps

  1. Set it up

Start from the base and choose a theme. Your developer does this once, and it already builds, tests and publishes.

  2. Make it yours

Add your brand and pages, compose each page from blocks, and ask for a new block if something is missing.

  3. Publish it

Check, publish and hand the editor to your client. From then on, changing a headline is a two-minute job.

What to change first

Four things make it yours

Most of a new site is decided in the first hour. Start here and the rest follows.

  • Brand and theme — name, logo, navigation, footer and mood
  • Pages — one per page, each started from a ready-made template
  • Pictures — add your own; blocks refer to them by name
  • Blocks — use the ones you need, and add one for anything missing

Before you start

What do I need to begin?

A little time and somewhere to host the site. Your developer takes care of the technical set-up once; after that the editor is all you need.

Can I start with fewer blocks?

Yes. Use only the ones you like — blocks you never use do not reach your visitors.

Where do I get help or the CMS itself?

HUGways and HUGsoft are the places to start; both are linked below.

Let's build something good

HUGways is the CMS; HUGsoft is the team behind it. Come and say hello.
